Born in New Zealand, I grew up between Aotearoa and the UK and have lived, worked, and travelled through over 30 countries since, particularly Italy, Australia, the USA, France, and China.
My childhood exposed me directly to the difference that privilege can make in opportunity and survival, and it's why I'm motivated to do what I can to level the playing field for everyone. With two technologists for parents, I also grew up learning about the exponential possibilities that technology can offer in transcending injustice and solving complex problems.

My path has had a few twists and turns as I've tried to figure out my place and purpose in the world. Looking back to connect the dots, I've realised my life has been dedicated to learning - and learning how to learn in the most adventurous and transformative ways possible.
Now, I'm on a quest to figure out how to make those kinds of learning experiences accessible to everyone. Learning that is led by brave curiosity, and structured with sustainability, longevity, and equity in mind.

My favourite things...
I am more than what I have done, I am also what I love. That includes hiking, surfing, reading, skiing, writing, oil painting, wheel throwing/pottery, good food, great wine, excellent company.
I'm partial to Earl Grey tea and milk chocolate digestives. If I'm drinking coffee at home, it's black; if I'm ordering out, it's a soy flat white. I enjoy theatre shows and musicals on stage when I go out, and curling up with Netflix/NEON/Disney/AppleTV if I'm staying in. Ted Lasso and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will always be comfort shows for me. I've recently discovered The Bear, a new favourite.
With the right people, I can be persuaded to do epic Karaoke (rare, but fun). I enjoy playing chess and backgammon against my Dad, and pretty much any board game with anyone else. I can be handy in a pub quiz, particularly geopolitics, science, and world history categories (please do not ask me to contribute to 'sports').
